Limitations on overtaking on left.
No vehicle shall be driven to the left side of the center of the roadway in overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction unless such left side is clearly visible and is free of oncoming traffic for a sufficient distance ahead to permit such overtaking and passing to be completely made without interfering with the operation of any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction or any vehicle overtaken. In every event the overtaking vehicle must return to an authorized lane of travel as soon as practicable and in the event the passing movement involves the use of a lane authorized for vehicles approaching from the opposite direction, before coming within 200 feet of any approaching vehicle.

- Tiger Transit operates seven on-campus routes and 15 off-campus routes.

The Auburn University Campus Security Shuttle offers a safe ride from any on-campus location to any other on-campus location from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. seven days a week while classes are in session, except for home football game evenings and official Auburn University holidays. Points to Remember

- Golf carts are not allowed on streets unless they meet specific safety requirements.
- The use of skateboards, longboards and the like (mini-cruisers) is permitted on campus on the shared-use corridors (defined as sidewalks equal to or wider than 10 feet) if operated in a safe manner and if the corridors are not heavily congested with pedestrians. More information on the Auburn University skateboard policy is available on the Traffic and Parking Regulations.
- Skateboards are not allowed on the downtown sidewalks.
- Motorized vehicles are not allowed on multi-use paths.
